MEET COMMISSIONER TURKIN

MEET COMMISSIONER TURKIN

Ethics Investigation

Turkin was investigated for allegedly using his position to shield his 25-year-old girlfriend from a DUI arrest after a crash. Bodycam footage showed him laughing with officers at the scene, while one officer suspiciously turned off their camera mid-conversation. The ethics board called his conduct “concerning”.

Disregard for Voter Trust

Turkin has repeatedly supported backdoor efforts to bypass voter approval for commissioner pay raises. Instead of respecting the will of the community, he backed schemes to label raises as "expenses," angering Boynton residents.

Turkin’s disregard for laws is well-documented

  • Arrested for trespassing.

  • Caught speeding 23 miles over the limit on a highway.

  • Driving with expired vehicle tags.

Self-Serving Leadership

Whether it’s voting for massive pay hikes or mishandling ethical situations, Turkin's record is clear: he prioritizes himself over the needs and values of Boynton Beach residents. Leadership should be about public service, not personal gain.

Pay Hike Scandal

Turkin fought to give himself and fellow commissioners outrageous perks at taxpayer expense, including:

  • A $36,000 cash increase disguised as "expenses."

  • A $51,000 car allowance,

  • a $71,000 office stipend,

  • and a $17,500 clothing allowance.

When the plan failed, he stormed out of the meeting, showing more interest in personal gain than in serving residents

Can’t Follow Through

Turkin didn’t pay his traffic fines on time, which led to a license suspension and referral to collections. If he can’t handle his own responsibilities, how can we trust him to handle ours?
